After being out of work for two years due to anxiety and depression, Soren joined the Action Towards Inclusion project with Autism Plus in North Yorkshire, with the goal of overcoming her mental health challenges and securing new paid employment. Once in employment, at a local holiday park, she transferred to the Thriving at Work project where she continued to grow in confidence with the support from our team. Soren was able to develop the necessary skills to maintain her new employment and now has weekly support with Autism Plus, Access to Work. Access to Work has helped Soren to maintain her employment and is supporting her future career goals.
Soren’s hard work and dedication paid off, and her manager, Ange, was pleased with her progress. She was progressed to cleaning owner’s caravans, which demonstrated the level of trust placed in her. Ange observed a significant improvement in Soren’s cleaning time and productivity since she began her job. Soren was independent but not hesitant to ask for help when needed.
