Employment Support Events Announced for 2026

Autism Plus Specialist Employment Support is pleased to announce a new programme of Employment Support Events taking place throughout 2026, designed to support neurodivergent people as they move towards meaningful employment.

These events bring together employers, providers, and jobseekers to create inclusive, supportive opportunities that build confidence, develop skills and improve understanding of the workplace. Employers are invited to take part in a way that works for them, whether by offering their time, sharing experience, providing feedback or exploring potential opportunities.

The events include a mix of face-to-face and virtual mock interviews, giving jobseekers the chance to practise their interview skills in a supportive environment, receive constructive feedback and gain confidence ahead of real interviews.

Face-to-face mock interview will take place on:

  • Monday 23rd March in Barnsley
  • Wednesday 13th May in Sheffield

Alongside this, virtual mock interview sessions will be held on:

  • Monday 9th February
  • Tuesday 7th April
  • Thursday 11th June

These sessions are open to all jobseekers currently within the Autism Plus Specialist Employment Support service.

In addition, an Opportunity Fair will be held on Wednesday 25th March in Sheffield, from 10am – 2pm. This open event will bring together employers and providers, with a small number of stalls promoting a range of opportunities and pathways into work.

By taking part in these events, employers can meet motivated candidates, share insight into their industry and recruitment processes, and contribute to building confidence, interview skills and workplace understanding. Participation also helps strengthen organisational commitments to inclusive employment practices.
