Award winning support for neurodivergent young adults
Autism Plus Employment Services has been awarded the Youth Employment title at the ERSA Employability Awards. The award recognises the impact of our SEND Youth Hub, which provides specialist support to neurodivergent young people as they move toward work and independence.
We were also named a finalist for Tailored Employment Support, reflecting our expertise in designing personalised plans that help individuals progress in ways that work for them.
The SEND Youth Hub is available to young people with any special educational need. This includes those who are autistic, have ADHD, experience learning differences or disabilities or face other barriers when accessing work. Through the programme, participants receive practical guidance, skills development and ongoing encouragement.
Support takes place in the Autism Plus office, where a Youth Work Coach and Progression Mentors deliver one to one sessions. The programme offers up to 26 weeks of specialist support, with an additional 13 weeks available to help participants sustain employment.
Our approach focuses on goals, wellbeing and preparing for the workplace at a pace that suits each individual. Outcomes may include volunteering, developing CVs, gaining work experience, starting training or moving into paid roles.
The award shows the value of inclusive employment support and how it can open doors for young people who want to grow, contribute and pursue meaningful futures. You can find out more about the SEND Youth Hub here
