Connect to Work (Sheffield) – FAQ

An appointment is an opportunity to discuss your needs and find out more about our service. A member of our team will contact you beforehand and arrange either a face to face appointment at our Sheffield office

No, you do not need a diagnosis, when we meet you for your initial appointment we will discuss your needs and ensure that we are the right service for you whether you have a diagnosis or not.

Support is varied to suit your needs, some weeks you may have more support than others as we support you to access different opportunities. Your coach will work with you to ensure you are happy with the support and know in advance when your sessions will be.

The programme is funded until 2030, however support for each person will typically last around 6 months but once you move into employment we will provide up to a further 6 months in work support – there is some flexibility around this timescale dependant on individual needs

Yes you can, we are happy for you to bring a family member, friend or support worker or anyone who helps you feel more comfortable for the first appointment.

Our main office is central to Sheffield, however to help you transition into support we can initially arrange to meet you at a local community space in your area, once you are in work we will come and see you at your workplace

Unfortunately not, this project is aimed at adults who will be able to sustain employment longer term independently.
