An appointment is an opportunity to discuss your needs and find out more about our service. A member of our team will contact you beforehand and arrange either a face to face appointment or an online appointment depending on your location.
Yes, you will need to bring with you evidence of your home address as well as evidence of any benefits you are claiming. Typically we ask for a passport or birth certificate and a copy of your universal credit statement
There is no timescale for the support for individuals, however the project is currently only funded until the end of March 2026.
We try to arrange an appointment convenient to you, which could be in your local library, local jobcentre or we have an office base at Mcklintocks Building on Summer Lane in Barnsley
Yes, of course. We are keen to make the support as accessible as possible and recognise that many people are anxious at first so you are welcome to bring along 1 or 2 people with you to the first appointment. Just let the team know in advance so we can ensure we know who to expect.
Yes, we can offer support to people who are in work on this programme and who are seeking to upskill
This project is now able to support anyone from the age of 18 upwards, as long as you are not in education or employment then you can access this support.
